I support Freedom. I support Ron Paul.

Yesterday I went to show my support for Ron Paul's message of freedom and liberty outside of the Republican presidential debate in Simi Valley, CA.

This was the first time I've ever been to a political event. I was soon swept up by the enthusiasm there and lifted my sign over my head, shouting for individual liberty, an end to the war, and a return to the constitution.



Apparently too many of us were crossing the intersection, because police showed up and disabled the crossing signal. One guy, dressed up as Elvis, wearing the American Flag as a cape, and holding the sign "Who would Elvis bomb?" tried to cross the street anyway. He was promptly wrestled to the ground, handcuffed, and driven away.

The whole event was wild. There were hundreds of people there showing their support (mostly for Ron Paul), but there was no media coverage. Go figure.
